Pacesetters: Jack the Cat

April 11 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

At the April 11th Pacesetters gathering, the story of Jack the Cat, Fort Sumter’s Cat that went to war, will be given by Russell Horres, Jr. The story is based on both oral tradition and period drawings placing the cat in the fort during the war. Russell used these traditions and drawings to author a children’s book illustrated by Kate Sherrill that is dedicated to the staff at Fort Sumter National Monument and to all the children who come to visit.

More details to come!

Dinner is $20/person, collected at the door.
