Long Point Schoolhouse Cleanup

Bridge Builders invites you to join us for a Beautification Day at the historical Long Point Schoolhouse. Long Point Elementary School opened in 1904 to educate Black children during the Jim Crow era. There is a restoration project currently underway, and the schoolhouse will eventually be used as a cultural center highlighting Mount Pleasant’s historic African-American settlement communities. We will be working on removing items from the schoolhouse and doing some landscaping. Bring tools and gloves, we will meet at 1578 Snowden Rd Mount Pleasant, SC from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on October 8th.
