Fourth Sunday Mission Event: Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing

This may look like a simple bags of rice and soy, but Rise Against Hunger meals represent the hopes and dreams of people worldwide. Rise Against Hunger volunteers are the heart of their mission to end hunger and they could not send millions of meals around the globe each year without them.

Let’s come together Sunday, Sept 25th at the Fourth Sunday Mission Event. We will be packing meals to help hungry children around the world. Our MPPC goal is to pack 14,256 bags – that equals a shipping pallet. I (Pastor Bart) have seen pallets of Rise Against Hunger meals while working in Haiti at Haiti Outreach Ministries. HOM uses these meals to feed over 1,000 students every day. In many instances this is the only meal a child will receive in a day.

We will meet for regular Sunday Night Live dinner at 5 p.m. and then at 5:30, children, youth and adults will remain in the Fellowship Hall for the meal packing event rather than going to their typical classes and programs. So come one and all, young and old. This is a hands-on mission project for all ages!
