Stephen Minister Comissioning

Seven members of MPPC have come to a training class for the internationally known program, Stephen Ministry, every Thursday evening since January to learn about everything from listening skills, to confidentiality, to learning how to deal with grief, depression and suicide.
On May 21st at the 11 a.m. worship service, these four women and three men will join the already eight active Stephen Ministers in the congregation to become one-on-one listeners, prayer partners and care partners to people in need, as they are commissioned to be Mount Pleasant Presbyterian’s newest Stephen Ministers. All active and resting Stephen Ministers are also encouraged to attend the service commissioning these new Stephen Ministers!
