Alex was born and raised in the upstate of South Carolina in the small town of Clover. It was there at his home church, Clover Presbyterian, that he realized and found his love of church music. At the age of 4, he began the piano, and by age 13, he was taking up the organ! Music is a huge part of his life, and he enjoys working in church settings, concerts and teaching! He came to Mount Pleasant Presbyterian in August of 2023 to become the Associate Director of Music and Organist. Alex enjoys many hobbies and activities outside of music such as being outdoors, photography, trying new foods and restaurants, cooking, shopping, traveling, and spending time with his pet cat, Shadow, as well as friends and family.
