Village Concert Series: The Avanti Guitar Trio

Our first Village Concert Series of the fall will feature The Avanti Guitar Trio on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. in the MPPC Sanctuary.

The Avanti Guitar Trio (Julie Goldberg, Amy Brucksch, and Christopher Teves) is a captivating and engaging chamber music ensemble that blends blend pristine technique and nuanced musical interpretations, earning critical acclaim and standing ovations for their captivating concerts and varied programming. Avanti’s repertoire ranges from Baroque to Contemporary, featuring newly composed music, creative transcriptions of classical masterpieces, and forays into rock, pop, and folk music.

Founded by Julie Goldberg, Avanti Guitar Trio members Amy Brucksch, and Christopher Teves first began collaborating at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. The trio reunites from their homes in Chicago and the Carolinas to perform throughout the country. Their recently released recording Radiant Light has been featured on national radio broadcasts and is available on all streaming platforms.
