Alex Wilson

Associate Director of Music Ministries and Organist

Alex was born in and adopted from Kazakstan and was raised in the upstate of South Carolina in the small town of Clover. It was there at his home church, Clover Presbyterian, that he realized and found his love of church music. At the age of 4, he began the piano, and by age 13, he was taking up the organ! Music is a huge part of his life, and he enjoys working in church settings, concerts and teaching. He was a graduate of the Clover High School, class of 2019, and attended Lenoir Rhyne University to study Sacred Music and Organ Performance. Unfortunately, COVID-19 interrupted his studies, but it did not dampen his passion for music. He has served in many different denominations over the last 14 years, but he always wanted to come back to the Presbyterian Church, and then opportunity came knocking! He came to Mount Pleasant Presbyterian in August of 2023 to serve as the Associate Director of Music and Organist. Alex enjoys many hobbies and activities outside of music such as being outdoors, photography, trying new foods and restaurants, cooking, shopping, traveling, and spending time with his pet cat, Shadow, as well as friends and family.
