Rev. Kim Trimboli
Kim began her ministry as a Christian Educator in churches for nearly 20 years before becoming an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament. She first received her call into ministry as a teenager and continued to listen for God’s guidance as that call has made several transitions over her adult life. She attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, where she received her degree in Religion and Christian Education. While in Ohio, Kim attended the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, where she received her MDiv.
Kim was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in 2012. Over the last seven years, Kim has been called to serve congregations which are in transition, as MPPC is. This is her fourth interim ministry position, with the first three scattered around central Ohio. She has always been actively involved in Presbytery activity, and served as a consultant to the Presbytery of Cincinnati for congregations in transition.
Kim grew up in Florida and has lived in seven different states east of the Mississippi. She currently resides in the Summerville area with her spouse and the youngest of their three sons, who is a junior at Ashley Ridge High School. The older two boys live in Orlando and in Columbus. Kim’s husband, Tony, is a biochemist in cancer research at MUSC. He also sings in the choir at MPPC.
She loves to read, take walks, and travel, when she can. She is also a (very!) amateur photographer. You may sometimes spot her with camera in hand, seeking to learn how to take good photographs but also to capture memories of life’s experiences and images of God’s beauty in the many ways it surrounds us.
