Did you know that an important part of the LOGOS design is to create positive, faith-building relationships between children and adults? The best way for this to happen is to have adults who are actively engaged in the program when children are present.
New to this winter’s LOGOS registration is a Parent Covenant parents must sign before a child can register. By completing this Parent Covenant, you agree to participate in LOGOS as a leader or helper in music, Bible Time, recreation, and dinner during the Wednesday evening LOGOS program. This covenant allows opportunities for adults to participate in all aspects of LOGOS. As a result of parent involvement, children will see smaller Bible Time groups, structured recreation, more hands-on-deck in music, and more opportunities to build relationships with adults during dinner. By the end of LOGOS, in addition to learning more about Worship and Jesus (curriculum themes), we are hopeful children will be able to name five adults who care about him or her and his or her spiritual growth.
By entering my registration information, I understand that I am “signing” my Parent Covenant and volunteering to help with the Wednesday evening LOGOS program. I understand that I will be assigned a schedule for LOGOS that will include times and slots I am expected to help lead or facilitate a program of LOGOS. I will come prepared for whatever program aspect I am tasked with. When I cannot fulfill my responsibility on a given date, I understand that I will need to find someone to take my place.
Program Time Slots:
LOGOS Music – 4:45-5:30 p.m.
Dinner – 5:30-6:00 p.m.
Bible Time – 6:00-6:30 p.m.
Recreation – 6:30-7:00 p.m.
