It is a joyful time in the life of families and the congregation. If you are considering baptism for your child\, we invite you to join Pastor Nicole for this class which will explore the promises made and the responsibilities entailed with this holy and sacred moment. DESCRIPTION:Join the Pacesetters on Friday\, Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for another fun evening of fellowship\, food and…fish?! (And no\, that’s not what’s for dinner!) Our program for the evening will be presented by Carissa V. Bishop from the South Carolina Aquarium! The South Carolina Aquarium is committed to conserving water\, wildlife and wild places. With education\, research and community engagement\, the South Carolina Aquarium focuses on fostering positive change for the natural world surrounding us through our conservation efforts. On November 8\, come learn about the aquarium’s conservation initiatives and ways you can get involved! \nCarissa\, our presenter\, is a member of MPPC and attended preschool here! \nDoors will open at 5:30 for appetizers followed by a catered meal at 6 p.m. and then the presentation will begin at 7 p.m. More details regarding the dinner menu will be available closer to the event! DESCRIPTION:The Third Act guest speaker for October is Warren Peper! Adults ages 55 and up will gather on Monday\, Oct. 28 at noon in the Fellowship Hall for a covered dish lunch and presentation. \nFor the last 50 years\, Warren Peper has been informing and entertaining Lowcountry residents through television broadcasts and newspaper columns. He remains a familiar face and trusted voice in the Lowcountry. Multiple times he was named S.C. Sportscaster of the year\, the Charleston Sports Council recognized him with a Lifetime Achievement Award and he was selected to the Media section of the S.C. Athletic Hall of Fame. In 1991\, he won an Emmy for his coverage of The Ryder Cup played at Kiawah Island. Come learn and listen to his stories of his varied sports media career and enjoy a covered dish luncheon with your friends. \nPlease invite a friend to come along with you\, and bring a dish to share!
