Please sign up on Realm. \nThe Center for Birds of Prey and the Avian Medical/Oiled Bird Treatment Facility\, is a comprehensive program of medical care\, educational outreach\, and conservation research. They will bring some wild birds and present a wonderful educational program about the Birds of Prey in our area and the ones they help heal and return to the wild. This is one of our favorite events.

DESCRIPTION:Pacesetters is back in action for the new year! Our meeting this month will take place on Friday\, January 10 in the Fellowship Hall. We will have two speakers at our program this evening! Our semi-new Senior Pastor\, Rev. Dr. Nicole Partin Abdnour will take a few minutes to speak with us about our older adult program offerings and ministries. Her brief presentation will be followed by a short program offered by Platte Moring. Platte is a member of MPPC and also served our military in Afghanistan. He will speak about his time there as well as his interactions with the people in Afghanistan. \nDinner is $20/person\, collected at the door and the menu with feature Hoppin’ John plus other season fixings. DESCRIPTION:Third Act\, December 2nd @ 10:30 am @ Mepkin Abbey \nMark your calendars and reserve a place to attend this wonderful event during the Advent season. \n2024 Crèche Festival -“Nativity in Glass and Under Glass” \nEvery year beautiful Mepkin Abbey in Moncks Corner has a Crèche Festival that is a self-guided walking tour of nativity displays from around the world. It is approximately 1/4 mile each way\, but it is handicap accessible. There are always different themes with beautiful displays. The Nativity in Glass should be very interesting this year. It’s sometimes hard to get a reservation but we have reserved 20 spots for December 2nd at 10:30 am. Our plan is to travel via the church bus and carpool. We will meet at the church parking lot at 9:15 am to travel to Moncks Corner\, after the tour and time in the gift shop\, we will travel to a restaurant in Moncks Corner to have lunch together. There is no charge for the Crèche Festival but you will be responsible for the cost of your meal. Please plan to join us. Adults ages 55 and up will gather on Monday\, Oct. 28 at noon in the Fellowship Hall for a covered dish lunch and presentation. \nFor the last 50 years\, Warren Peper has been informing and entertaining Lowcountry residents through television broadcasts and newspaper columns. He remains a familiar face and trusted voice in the Lowcountry. Multiple times he was named S.C. Sportscaster of the year\, the Charleston Sports Council recognized him with a Lifetime Achievement Award and he was selected to the Media section of the S.C. Athletic Hall of Fame. In 1991\, he won an Emmy for his coverage of The Ryder Cup played at Kiawah Island.
