DESCRIPTION:Third Act on March 24\, 2025 at noon in the Fellowship Hall \nCharleston Architecture with Guest Speaker: Pamela Durkin Gabriel \nPamela Gabriel earned a B.A in art history from the College of Charleston. She has written several books about Charleston architecture and history. She is a member of Mount Pleasant Historical Commission and lives in Mount Pleasant. Some of her books include: \n\nIf These Walls Could Talk\, an account of historic structures in Charleston.\nThe Unique Charleston Single House: A Brief Guide to Charleston Architecture\, that discusses Charleston’s history\, the evolution of the Charleston single house design\, architectural styles and architectural details consecutively.\nThe Great Cooper River Bridge\, provides the complete history of this architectural icon\, exploring how early twentieth-century Charleston helped shape the bridge and how the bridge subsequently shaped the city\n\nJoin us for this interesting program\, bring a friend and covered dish\, meat will be provided.
