DESCRIPTION:Rise Against Hunger’s mission is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities\, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. We will host a Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing Event on Wednesday\, Sept. 18 in the Fellowship Hall from 5:30-7:30 p.m. At our event\, we will pack 14\,256 meals with self stable fortified dehydrated meals! DESCRIPTION:Our next Red Cross Blood Drive is Monday\, September 16\, 2024 from 1-6 pm in the Fellowship Hall. There is still a blood shortage. The need for blood is constant\, but only 3% of the U.S. population donates. DESCRIPTION:The time is approaching for our Red Cross Blood Drive.  Every two seconds\, someone in the U.S. needs blood. That’s why MPPC is on a mission to help save lives by hosting a blood drive Monday\, July 22 from 2-6 p.m.  This mission is a way to have an immediate and lasting impact on the community and individual lives and families.   \nAll (church members\, friends\, neighbors\, total strangers!) are invited to take part in this special event and donate blood for hospital patients in our neighborhoods and across the nation. The need for blood is constant\, but only 3 percent of the U.S. population donates.  By rolling up a sleeve\, donors can play a critical role in the treatment of accident and burn victims\, heart surgery and organ transplant patients\, and those receiving treatment for leukemia\, cancer or sickle cell disease. \nWhether you have ever donated or not\, please prayerfully consider signing up and joining us on July 22: \n\n To schedule an appointment (in order of preference):\n\nOption 1: download the Red Cross Blood Donor App to your smartphone and from there you can schedule an appointment time.
