DESCRIPTION:Thank you so much for the support from our last blood drive in November as we collected 24 units! Our next blood drive is Monday\, February 3 from 2 to 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Let’s fill our time slots and collect at least 30 units! \nWhether you have ever donated or not\, please prayerfully consider signing up and join us Monday\, February 3\, 2025: \nDonation is by appointment and Red Cross will be trying hard to stick to the schedule. However\, walk-ins will be accepted and worked in. If possible\, please complete RapidPass before you come to the church. This will streamline the process and save you some time. \nTo schedule an appointment (in order of preference): \n\nOption 1: Download the Red Cross Blood Donor App to your smartphone and from there you can schedule an appointment time. Later\, on the day of the drive\, complete RapidPass. You will need to create a userid and password if this is your first time.\nOption 2: Visit www.redcrossblood.org top right hand corner enter zip code 29464 or sponsor code MPPC to register. Currently\, she is the Music Director of Hibben Methodist. She is also founder and Artistic Director of Charleston Voices Youth Choir! Active in the local arts scene she has performed in Holy City Arts & Lyric Opera’s 2022 production of Sondheim’s “Into the Woods.” \nThe meal offered that evening will be Pork Loin & Roast Beef\, Mashed Potatoes\, Green Beans\, Sweet Potatoes\, Green Salad\, Rolls\, Desert by S&P Catering. \nDinner is $20/person\, collected at the door. DESCRIPTION:Our first Village Concert Series of 2025 will be an inspiring performance of “The Sacred Veil” performed by the Charlotte Master Chorale Chamber Singers; Kenney Potter\, Conductor; Philip Biedenbender\, Piano and Tanja Bechtler\, Cello. \nExperience the mesmerizing beauty of Eric Whitacre’s The Sacred Veil\, a poignant composition that weaves together voices and instruments to explore the depths of love\, loss\, and the enduring power of the human spirit. This moving work features a series of poems written by Tony Silvestri about his relationship with his late wife Julie\, her battle with ovarian cancer\, and the grief he experienced as a result of her passing in 2005. \nThis concert is free and open to the public. It will take place in the Sanctuary of Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church on Saturday\, February 8 at 4 p.m. Please join us!

DESCRIPTION:“Living Well\, Dying Well: A Plan for the Future”  \nAs a follow up to Dr. Ann’s talk in January about Living Well – eating right\, sleep\, exercise\, etc\, we will be reviewing the other side: Dying Well. A major part of dying well is a plan and discussing what that looks like to you and your family. The MPPC Endowment team will review the Endowment Tree and explain how the endowment could be a part of your plan. A catered breakfast will be served! DESCRIPTION:Everyone is invited to learn more about the early history of our church. Did you know the Old Wappetaw Cemetery behind the SeeWee Restaurant in Awendaw had a Meeting House and Pastor before it was burned to the ground by the British in 1782? Did you know that New Wappetaw church in McClellanville and Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church are sister churches? Come learn the facts at the Third Act monthly luncheon on Monday February 24th at 12 Noon. Bring a friend and come on your lunch hour to hear this interesting history. Also bring a covered dish to share\, meat will be provided. \nOur guest speaker is Huger McClellan\, from McClellanville\, who has done a lot of research on Old Wappetaw Cemetery and has an interesting powerpoint presentation to share with us. The names on the tombstones at Old Wappetaw Cemetery are all familiar names in our community. \nTHIRD ACT\nMONDAY\, FEBRUARY 24TH\, 12 NOON\nREGISTER HERE!
