SUMMARY:All Saints Vespers Service of Remembrance
DESCRIPTION:Held in the afternoon\, this service will focus on remembering and honoring those who have passed away during the year\, with prayers\, spiritual reflection and gathering of friends and family. \nThe liturgy is centered around the music of Elaine Hagenberg\, Paul Manz\, Mark Miller\, and a portion of “Requiem for the Living” a concert work by Dan Forrest. In the medieval church\, the Requiem mass offered repose for the departed. In modern times\, the words of the mass are often set to music\, which we will experience today. \nThe service is led by the chancel choir and Stephen Ministers. Stephen Ministers are trained Christian care givers who can walk alongside those who are grieving. We will have Stephen Ministers available near the doors at the beginning and end of the service if anyone would like a moment of private prayer. Please join us in the Sanctuary at 4 p.m. on Sunday\, Nov. 1.
