Second Sunday Speaker Series: Settlement Communities and Heirs Property Discussion

This month’s event is focused on the challenges that our neighbors in settlement communities face regarding growth and development in East Cooper. How have things changed for them over the years? What needs are not being met? How is the Town of Mount Pleasant trying to help these communities now, and how can you help? You have probably heard the recent controversy over expanding Hwy. 41 through the Phillips community. Heirs’ Property presents unique challenges to preserving these historic communities. Come listen to a panel of experts on the challenges that our settlement community neighbors face as the town has grown up around them. Sunday, Nov. 14 at 5:00 in the Fellowship Hall.
