BLITZ BUILD SCHEDULE

The first week of the Blitz is complete. MPPC and Palmetto members have completed framing and rough construction of Janet’s house. For the next three weeks subcontractors will be doing electrical, HVAC, plumbing and sheetrock. However there are many tasks that can be done before we start the second week of Blitz on June 21st. If you would like to help, just show up at the work site any Tuesday or Friday morning at 8:30, or contact John Nuernberger at 843-709-3524.”

Only major tasks are listed.  Every work day will also involve receiving and moving of materials, positioning tools and ladders, cleanup and other incidental tasks.  Don't worry, there is plenty to do!

For the steering committee, I want to take this opportunity to commend the work of East Cooper Habitat, especially Greg Thomas and Kate Whitlock. Because of their efforts every day of the first week was highly successful and everyone’s time was efficiently utilized. They had all the tools and materials on hand and provided needed expertise. We could never have done this on our own.

Note - Since it is difficult to get all inspections complete in this abbreviated schedule, there will be opportunities after 6/29 for small groups to complete punch list items needed for certificate of occupancy.
